2027 Membership

Social and Business Membership

Two planned membership options will support different ways to take part in NZGBA: community connections through Social Membership, and business and professional exchange through Business Membership. Both would help build a more consistent New Zealand-connected network across the Greater Bay Area.

More opportunities to connect and participate

The membership programme aims to support more regular community gatherings, professional exchange, education and cultural activities, building on NZGBA's work in 2026.

A stronger New Zealand presence

Members would help support grassroots New Zealand community representation and participation across the GBA. Social, business, educational and cultural activities can give New Zealand people, organisations, products and ideas greater visibility, while bringing local residents and visiting groups into useful contact.

At the Hello APEC Oceania cultural market in Shekou on 19 September 2026, NZGBA organised New Zealand food, products, cricket activities and a haka performance, bringing community members, volunteers and participating businesses into a shared local activity.

A sustainable foundation for future activity

Membership could provide a steadier funding base alongside sponsorship and voluntary contributions, sharing costs currently covered by founder Andre. Volunteers also help deliver activities.

This would help NZGBA plan gatherings, maintain regional resources and develop activities with willing participants.

Business Membership

For businesses, entrepreneurs, professionals and organisations interested in networking, industry knowledge and stronger New Zealand-GBA relationships. This includes exporters, importers, retailers, eCommerce businesses and service providers.

The intended focus is business gatherings, professional exchange, visiting groups and relevant regional knowledge. Members could support the development of activities that connect people working between the two markets; specific access, introductions or commercial outcomes are not guaranteed.
