New Zealand networks
New Zealand organisations and support in China
Find New Zealand consular contacts, export support, China business research and Kiwi community networks. Each section links to the organisation responsible for that work.
NZGBA is an independent local community and business network. Official enquiries should go directly to the relevant New Zealand service.
Consular help and New Zealand contacts
The New Zealand Consulate-General in Guangzhou is a consular contact for Kiwis in southern China. For enquiries, email [email protected] or call +86 20 8931 9600.
MFAT's China contacts page lists the consulate's address, opening hours and other New Zealand posts in China. Its Living in China information covers community and consular guidance for people living here.
Travel advice and registration
SafeTravel provides New Zealand Government travel advice for China. Read the current advisory when planning a visit and use its registration service for your trip or overseas residence. The advisory also explains how to get urgent consular help.
NZTE: exporting from New Zealand to China
New Zealand Trade and Enterprise supports New Zealand businesses developing overseas markets. Its Greater China contacts page lists its in-market offices and enquiry route, including Guangzhou and Hong Kong.
Businesses selling New Zealand products or services into China can contact NZTE about export support and market connections.
China business and relationship research
New Zealand Business Roundtable in China
NZBRiC publishes reports and insights on China business conditions and industries. These provide background for understanding the market and preparing business discussions.
New Zealand China Council
The New Zealand China Council examines trade, connectivity and the wider New Zealand-China relationship through research and public discussion. Its publications offer context beyond a single company, transaction or visit.
Business associations and professional networks
Business associations organise member discussions and events. Use their programme and membership information to find activity relevant to your industry.
New Zealand China Trade Association
NZCTA brings together exporters, importers, investors, entrepreneurs and service providers around the bilateral business relationship. Its New Zealand-based activities and membership can suit businesses preparing for China engagement as well as those already trading.
NZBRiC also represents a member business network in China alongside the research described above. For exchanges with Mainland business organisations, CCPIT's Department of International Relations describes its delegation and liaison work and links to local organisations.
Community and Kiwi connections
New Zealand Society of Hong Kong
The society brings together New Zealanders and people interested in New Zealand in Hong Kong through social and cultural events. Email [email protected] to ask about events or join its mailing list; its website also explains membership.
Kea New Zealand
Kea connects Kiwis internationally. Its business service, Kea Connect, helps New Zealand businesses seek introductions to people with relevant international experience.
NZGBA in southern China
NZGBA brings Kiwis and friends of New Zealand together through social gatherings, business discussions, educational exchange and cultural activities in the Greater Bay Area. Community activities welcome people from all backgrounds. Tell us which city you live in or plan to visit, and whether you are interested in meeting other Kiwis, business discussions or contributing to an activity.
Each organisation manages its own services and participation. Inclusion in this guide describes its role, not a formal partnership with NZGBA.
