New Zealand Greater Bay Area Network
Founded in Shenzhen in 2026, NZGBA is an independent grassroots network bringing together Kiwis, businesses and friends of New Zealand across the Greater Bay Area. Community gatherings, two-way business connections, educational exchange and cultural activity help build a stronger New Zealand presence in southern China.

Andre founded NZGBA after recognising a gap in local community and business connections, and through conversations with Kiwis and New Zealand-connected business owners who wanted people to meet, useful local knowledge and more opportunities to participate in southern China. The Greater Bay Area is an important part of New Zealand-China relations, making those local connections especially valuable. The first gathering took place at Craft Head Brewing Co. in Shenzhen on 14 June 2026. The network welcomes residents, visitors, students, families, professionals and businesses of all sizes, with the ambition of connecting communities across the GBA. Its local, people-to-people work complements existing New Zealand institutional and trade channels.
