Corporate sponsorship

Sponsor New Zealand connections in the GBA

Support activities that connect New Zealand people, businesses and culture with the Greater Bay Area. NZGBA welcomes New Zealand businesses, local companies, professional firms and education providers interested in contributing to a relevant gathering, exchange or cultural programme.

For financial contributions without a sponsorship arrangement, or to offer time and skills, visit Support NZGBA.

Sponsorship helps NZGBA organise gatherings, professional discussions and cultural activities, with recognition and participation agreed with your organisation.

Founder Andre has funded NZGBA's establishment and early activities and contributed hundreds of hours of unpaid work. Sponsorship can help share the costs and sustain that work.

What NZGBA has delivered

New Zealand participation at Hello APEC

On 19 September 2026, NZGBA organised the New Zealand section of the Hello APEC Oceania market in Shekou, bringing together New Zealand food and products, cricket activities and a haka performance. The activity gave participating brands and volunteers a shared setting to showcase New Zealand to local visitors. Published coverage identifies Shekou MSCE as host and NZGBA and AustCham South China as supporters of the wider market. NZGBA also contributed to the July Shekou Summer Camp and an August discussion with visiting University of Auckland MBA students. These completed activities demonstrate experience across community, culture and education.

Define the contribution

Match the support to the work

Sponsorship can support a single event or a defined period of NZGBA activity. The options below cover funding, venues, expertise and products.

Support an agreed period of activity

Help sustain organising work and regional resources over a defined period. The arrangement should set out the work, budget, responsibilities, recognition and a review date.

Sponsor a defined event

Help fund a gathering, professional exchange or cultural activity, including organising costs, participant materials or part of the programme. Displays, demonstrations and contributions to discussions can be included where they fit the audience.

Provide a setting for people to meet

Provide space, refreshments or equipment for a gathering. Confirm capacity, accessibility, charges and service arrangements, including what participants pay themselves. Event information should explain the venue's role and acknowledgement.

Add useful expertise or products

Contribute expertise to a discussion, products to a cultural activity, or services such as printing and photography. Confirm the audience, suitability and practical requirements with the organiser.

Value for both sides

Recognition and participation

Depending on the activity and contribution, a sponsorship agreement may include:

  • Named acknowledgement and a link on the relevant NZGBA event page or materials
  • Logo or brand acknowledgement at the supported activity
  • A demonstration, contribution to a discussion or other programme participation
  • A product display or information materials for participants

Agree the details

Confirm the intended audience, organiser, contribution, costs, dates and recognition in writing, including permission to use names, logos and images. Attendance, media coverage, sales and commercial introductions are not guaranteed. Participant contact details are not a sponsorship benefit.

Recognition and programme participation are agreed for the supported activity and the contribution provided.
